Adaptavist proud to be supporting Devoxx4Kids

Adaptavist will be present at Devoxx London next week (17-19 June) and are excited to be sponsoring Devoxx4Kids which runs immediately afterwards Saturday 20 June at Microsoft's Cardinal Place office in London.

Calling all 10-16 year-olds

Devoxx4Kids is aimed at 10-16 year-olds and intended to give kids hands-on experience with technology. It covers programming concepts, robotics, electronics, and games making. Above all else, Devoxx4Kids provides a fun and supportive environment for kids to get involved in technology and problem-solving.

Your kids play games, our kids make games. As a generation that have been brought up in the modern world, consuming technology is second nature. Devoxx4Kids is an event which opens up the world of creating technology. We aim to give youngsters the unique thrill of saying I made that!

Devoxx4Kids creates a supportive environment with access to technology that's not usually available. The events run during a full day (9am-5pm) and offer a series of workshops that repeat throughout. Adaptavists will be on-hand to help and support and there are breakout areas to get hands on with more specialist tech.

A range of exciting workshops

  • Minecraft Modding (game hacking)
  • LEGO Mindstorms (robotic engineering)
  • Sonic Pi (musical programming)
  • Touch Develop (app development)
  • Arduino / Gadgeteer (electronics)
  • Scratch & Kodu (PC & Xbox games making)
  • NAO (robotic programming)
