Atlassian has announced that it will sunset Data Center deployment for its products in March 2029. After this date, there will no longer be an on-premise option for accessing Atlassian tools, and Data Center customers will need to be on Cloud to continue using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management.

What is the timeline for Data Center end of life?
These changes will roll out in stages over the next three years, beginning with no new customer licence sales after March 2026, then no more licence sales for existing customers after March 2028. This will be followed by the final cut-off date in March 2029.

- End of licence sales for existing customers
- End of expansions for existing Data Center licences

- Data Center subscriptions will expire, and Data Center instances will become read-only
