This blog highlights practical use cases that showcase how the Atlassian Teamwork Collection integrates Jira, Confluence, and Loom to improve clarity and seamless team workflows.

In our last blog about Atlassian Teamwork Collection, we explained how this curated selection of tools, powered by Atlassian’s platform capabilities and Rovo, transforms how teamwork gets done. We looked at how built-in AI capabilities eliminate repetitive work, deliver insights without context switching, and connect apps via a single interface and AI-supported search functions.

Want to get up to speed on Rovo? Take a look.
In this blog post, we want to demonstrate Teamwork Collection's broader impact by sharing practical use cases. These are real ways teams are optimising their tools to level up – from event planning and execution to cross-department project delivery workflows.

Connecting strategy at the leadership level with execution on the ground isn't just a leadership challenge – it's a teamwork challenge. With the right systems in place, employees don't just complete tasks – they see their impact on the bigger picture. That's how technology like Jira and Confluence, when implemented well, turn alignment into action. And in turn, action-oriented teams become motivated teams.

Unifying teams with Teamwork Collection

Teamwork Collection is the perfect example of having the "right systems in place". It lets you bring work, knowledge, and communication into a single, connected system with Jira, Confluence, and Loom. They're the market-leading tools for planning, tracking, and releasing work; centralising knowledge and documentation; and fast, asynchronous communication.
All three tools work with Rovo. This means using natural language search in Jira and Confluence to get instant answers, receiving summaries of pages or ticket activity, and getting help with ready-made action items generated from the content you provide – such as a Loom video.
All this combined helps teams in their day-to-day work. When AI and Rovo agents handle the heavy lifting, teams can focus on thought work.
To support teams, help them collaborate effectively, and deliver work with greater clarity and consistency, leadership should implement goals and ensure everyone has access to the context, with shared visibility and goal alignment at every stage. In other words, the teams in your organisation know the "why" of what's getting done, and have the time to work towards the goals.

Practical use cases to get you started

Here are some practical, real-world examples of what teams can do with Teamwork Collection across five key areas, along with the tangible outcomes that make all the difference.

1. Event and campaign planning and execution
Teamwork Collection helps you go from event idea to execution without all the chaos that usually ensues.
Your marketing team is planning a big event. They start in Confluence, building the event plan, setting timelines, and drafting creative briefs. Then they use Jira to track tasks, such as booking the venue and the speaker, and running promotional campaigns. Meanwhile, they're leveraging Loom to share quick updates with the wider organisation and give stakeholders a walk-through of what will happen on the day.
Teamwork Collection equips the team with the right tools, making ownership and deadlines clearer (for fewer last-minute surprises and tighter coordination), real-time visibility, and faster approvals with async updates instead of endless meetings.

2. Centralised knowledge management
Teamwork Collection: Powerful knowledge management built-in
With Confluence included in the Teamwork Collection, you gain a robust knowledge management solution that integrates seamlessly with Jira and Loom.
By centralising everything—from product specifications and technical documentation to policies—into a single source of truth, teams can easily find the information they need, when they need it. Content becomes even more valuable when enriched with Jira context or enhanced with Loom recordings, ensuring knowledge doesn't exist in isolation. Instead, it becomes interconnected, dynamic, and actionable.
Through deep integrations, built-in AI capabilities, and tools like Rovo and Confluence, the Atlassian Platform provides a strong foundation for discovering insights, revisiting decisions, and continuously building organisational knowledge.
And when that knowledge doesn't exist yet, Confluence helps you create it. Its AI features support teams in drafting articles, documenting decisions, and communicating effectively. With the Teamwork Collection, teams go beyond standalone documentation—gaining richer context, faster access to information, and a more connected knowledge ecosystem.

3. Onboarding new hires faster
Teamwork Collection helps your new starters go from overwhelmed to productive in days, not weeks.
With Teamwork Collection, you can build a comprehensive, structured onboarding experience. In Confluence, you can keep all your onboarding guides, team structures, and explain key processes. In Jira, you can automate pre-built onboarding task lists for each role. Loom lets you create walkthrough videos of systems and workflows for people to refer back to as often as they like (you only have to record them once, too).
With a consistent onboarding experience across teams and this self-serve learning approach, your new hires can start contributing to creating value sooner and with more confidence.

4. Cross-department project delivery workflows
Teamwork Collection helps you break down silos across all your business functions.
If you're delivering a new customer-facing feature, you need to coordinate work across product, engineering, marketing, and customer support. With Teamwork Collection, you can use Confluence to define the strategy, scope, and messaging and provide all accompanying documents. And then track delivery across multiple teams and dependencies in Jira. With Loom, you can deliver updates asynchronously across departments, which is ideal for distributed teams. You can also use Loom to send out the new feature, addressing it personally to different customers using variables and AI to enhance the personalisation of the information flow.
Working this way – with shared visibility, clear handoffs, and alignment between delivery and go-to-market – your projects can move faster with clearer communication, preventing missteps and delays.

5. IT service and operations management
Teamwork Collection keeps your critical services running without constant firefighting.
Want more structure, visibility, and consistency across your entire IT service lifecycle? With Teamwork Collection, Jira acts as the operational backbone for incidents, service requests, and change tickets with automated workflows and linked tickets. Confluence is your single source of truth for runbooks, incident response procedures, and escalation paths. And Loom supports faster knowledge sharing – from engineers recording incident walk-throughs to new team members getting up to speed on past issues.
You get faster incident resolution, stronger incident management and learning loops, and better cross-team collaboration. Ultimately, your team spends less time reacting and more time improving systems.

A true system of work for your whole organisation

All these use cases offer significant value to your teams. Across the board, they ensure everything is connected so there are no silos that impede work, knowledge sharing, and communication. There's shared visibility where everyone knows what's happening and why – crucial for effective teamwork.
Lastly, Teamwork Collection helps create seamless workflows so your people (including new starters) can get work done systematically and efficiently, without all the stress.
