Atlassian announces new pricing structure for cloud customers
Atlassian has announced it will be changing the payment structure of Jira Software, Jira Core, Jira Service Desk and Confluence Cloud. From July 31st, Cloud customers will have per-user pricing for monthly subscriptions and 10 new tiers for annual subscriptions.
As Add-on prices are tied to the Atlassian user tier model, the pricing structure of ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud, Community Forums for Confluence Cloud and Forms for Confluence Cloud will change accordingly.

Adaptavist is maintaining it's previous rate structure for its Cloud add-ons:
- ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud will be priced at 50% of the cost of Jira Cloud.
- Community Forums and Forms for Confluence Cloud will be priced at 20% of the cost of Confluence Cloud.
While this change likely means a price increase for most customers, it will allow for far more flexibility and no more paying for unused licenses.
Monthly band per-user pricing for Cloud add-ons
Customers with more than ten users, will now pay for the exact number of users in your instance. The cost for individual licenses is now separated into bands, with the price per user decreasing as the number of users in your instance increases.

Atlassian has published a calculator that will help you calculate the monthly cost of your Jira/Confluence instance and new add-on prices are now reflected on the Marketplace.
Benefits of annual subscriptions for Cloud customers
Atlassian's other major pricing announcement was the introduction of ten new license tiers for the annual license payment structure. This means that customers are able to select a tier that better reflects the number of users they have in their instance.
If you're likely to use our add-ons over the next year, consider moving to an annual license. Annual licenses only charge for 10 months, effectively giving you a 16% discount.

What this means for you
Starting from July 31st, all monthly renewals will be automatically swapped over to per-user pricing. No action is required from our customers, payment changes will be automatically applied to your add-ons in your next billing cycle. If you're an annual customer you'll be able to select a tier that best fits your user count when you next renew.
