The ultimate challenge to conquer breast cancer

Today Adaptavist's HR specialist Hatty Newman has set off on a 963 mile bike ride from Lands End to John O’Groats.

She is taking on this enormous challenge as part of a ‘summer of sport’ to raise money for breast cancer charities, a cause which is close to heart.

“After supporting someone very dear to me through breast cancer, I've decided enough is enough and in order to try and kick this devastating disease into touch I'm going to try and raise as much money as possible by doing a summer of sporting challenges for two incredible charities,” says Hatty.

So far, she has already raised £2,826 for Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel, smashing her original £2,000 goal.

Earlier this year, Hatty took on the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100, and a gruelling twin peak hike from Scafell Pike and Mt Snowdon. She isn’t even stopping after her ride across the UK, as in October she's taking on the Oxford Half Marathon.

Hatty is joined on this ride by Steve Sandles and Kitty Norwell, who are raising money for the Motor Neurone disease Association and Mind, respectively.

The Adaptavist team is wishing all of them the best of luck and safe ride. Please join us in keeping our fingers crossed for dry weather!
