Watch this Adaptavist LinkedIn Live event with our strategic partner Rewind, where our speakers, all digital transformation experts, shared their insights on ‘The journey from AI adoption to meaningful AI engagement’.
It's been over three years since generative AI tools first entered the workplace, and it is becoming increasingly difficult for many to remember what work looked like before AI.
We were curious to understand how this technological shift is impacting teams, so we surveyed 2,500 knowledge workers about their experiences with AI at work for our latest research report, ‘Understanding the human cost of AI transformation'.
Our findings show many workers report a continued attachment to pre-AI ways of working:
- 65% of knowledge workers say they regularly feel nostalgic about how work operated before the widespread adoption of AI
- Gen Z workers are the most likely to prefer the pre-AI world (42%), compared to 26% of Gen X
These experts discussed how to move beyond AI adoption to meaningful engagement and provided exclusive insights and best practices to help you:
- Reduce fears of obsolescence, with practical advice on how to address AI anxiety in teams
- Actively build trust in AI tools by communicating organisational intentions around AI strategy
- Understand the practical steps you can take to eliminate the 'verification tax' before it erodes productivity gains
- Ensure AI is implemented in the right places so it actually adds value

- Lisa Schaffer, Global Work Management Practice Head, Adaptavist
- Attlia Bernariusz, Senior Strategic Advisor, Adaptavist
