Atlassian's Compass reaches end-of-sale May 2026. If your organisation uses or plans to adopt Compass, find out what's changing and what your next steps should be.

Atlassian has announced that Compass will reach end-of-sale on 13 May 2026, with renewals ending on 31 December 2026 and product support concluding by December 2027. If your organisation is currently using Compass, or you've been considering adopting it, now is the time to understand what's changing, why, and what your next steps should be.

What's changing, and why?

Atlassian is consolidating all software component tracking and health features into DX Fabric. The move is designed to give engineering teams a single, centralised place to measure and track developer and AI productivity, improve software health, and build AI readiness.
In other words, the capabilities that Compass delivered (software component tracking, service health scorecards, and catalog management) aren't disappearing. They're being consolidated and expanded within DX Fabric, which Atlassian is positioning as the future of developer experience measurement.

Key dates to know

DateMilestone
13 April 2026Public announcement to customers about end-of-sale and transition to DX
13 May 2026Compass end-of-sale – no new entitlements can be purchased
31 December 2026Compass end-of-renewals – existing contracts cannot be renewed beyond this date

What this means if you're a Compass customer

This evolution follows other recent portfolio changes, such as the OpsGenie End-of-Life (EOL), during which customers were directed toward solutions like Compass or Jira Service Management (JSM).
If you're now an active Compass user, you can continue using the product until either the end of support or the end of your contract, whichever comes first. However, Atlassian is strongly encouraging all Compass customers to migrate to DX, which will be the sole Atlassian platform offering catalog, scorecard, and productivity metric features going forward.
While DX is Atlassian's strongly recommended destination, it isn't the only option. For teams whose Compass usage is centred on alerts, on-call schedules, and incident response, migrating those capabilities to Jira Service Management is also a supported path. And if neither DX nor JSM feels like the right fit, there may be other solutions worth exploring, something we're happy to work through with you.
