London Chapter Kickoff Event
Hello and welcome to our Slack Community London Kickoff event! 🚀 We are thrilled with your interest in joining us!
For a first, we’re looking to something pretty lowkey, to get to know each other and collectively think about how we want to shape things going forward. But this can be an event for everyone to get something out of: Slack admins, app developers, raiders of the lost gif and other Slack aficionados.
If you’d like to attend, please RSVP, and feel free to invite your best friend, your favourite colleagues and your cat.
This first event will cover the following topics:
- Meet and Greet
- Introduction to the Slack Platform
- How Slack has been helping with remote work
- Social Networking
Agenda
11:00 AM: Meet and greet
Introduction of the Slack Chapter, current goals and members.
11:10 AM: Introduction to the Slack Platform
Niamh Gorry, Slack's EMEA Community Manager, will give a high-level presentation of the Slack Platform Community - a Community targeted at developers, admins, people with a technical background and all Slack enthusiasts!
11:25 AM: How Slack has been helping with remote work
Thomas Boudier, Slack Chapter Leader in London and Technical Product Marketing Manager at Adaptavist, will give a talk about what his experience has been like with remote work and how Slack has been helping things be smooth overall - with some pitfalls he's fallen into and some tips and tricks on how to work around them!
11:40 AM: Social Networking
This is our chance to get to know each other a bit better and share our experiences and what we expect from the Slack Community in London going forward.
Event hosts and guests:

Thomas Boudier
Thomas is the Technical Product Marketing Manager for all things Slack and Trello. He enjoys cycling in and around London to catch some sunlight whenever possible and thinking about the meaning of life. 🚴
