A round-up of the announcements from the Founder's Keynote at Team '25 in Barcelona.

Keynote presentation
In September, Atlassian announced that it will be sunsetting its Data Center products with a three-year timeline before support ends. Following this news, we've been anticipating some exciting new cloud updates during the Team ‘25 Barcelona keynote, and Atlassian didn't disappoint.
From bringing Rovo to every corner of teamwork, to launching new collections that connect strategy with software and service operations; here's a simple overview to help you understand what's new and how it can help your teams.

Rovo, everywhere you work

Rovo is Atlassian's AI teammate that connects knowledge, people, and workflows across your tools. You'll now see it embedded across even more Atlassian apps and beyond:
  • Rovo Search - to become the default in Jira, blending results from Jira and connected third-party apps so that people can find the right content, faster
  • Rovo Chat - now has personal memory to tailor your experience, real‑time collaboration with an in-chat canvas, and the ability to upload files and images to convert to actions
  • Rovo Chat - also now includes 100+ skills to turn ideas into action without context switching–including searching the web or creating emails
  • Rovo Studio - makes it easy to build agents and automations, allowing you to test and edit as you go
Rovo is now generally available to Standard tier customers, so everyone can enjoy the power of AI. It will also be coming soon for both mobile and desktop, giving you AI support at the touch of a button.
Atlassian Collections overview from keynote

Two new smart collections added

Deliver service management excellence with the new Service Collection

Unite IT and operations teams, plus external customer support, with Atlassian's Service Collection. This collection includes three core tools: Jira Service Management (JSM), Assets, and Customer Service Management (CSM), supported by Rovo agents for an intelligent experience.
  • Jira Service Management provides a foundation for employee support and resilient operations
  • Customer Service Management is now generally available, delivering AI‑powered, omni‑channel support, a specialised Rovo customer service agent, and easy handoffs to humans
  • Assets is now available as a Platform app, providing a place to store and act upon physical and digital objects
This combination of JSM as the core service management offering, CSM for external customer support, and Assets to track, manage, and visualise assets and services, plus Rovo agents, provides a unified solution to make your service management processes even more effective. Rovo agents serve as AI teammates to employee support, operations, and customer support.

Track and streamline the entire software development lifecycle with Software Collection

The Software Collection provides AI, visibility, and insights across the software development lifecycle, enabling leaders to identify any bottlenecks or breaks in the flow. With this new collection, leaders gain measurable insights into productivity, quality, and AI impact.
  • Rovo Dev - now generally available and works as a context‑aware AI agent to support developers in planning work, generating code, running reviews, and troubleshooting pipelines
  • Bitbucket and Bitbucket Pipelines - provide CI/CD built for speed and reliability
  • Compass - a component catalogue with scorecards for standards and ownership
  • DX (joining upon acquisition close) provides engineering intelligence, combining qualitative developer experience with quantitative metrics

Major updates to current collections

Cross‑functional teams move from idea to execution quickly with Teamwork Collection–now even smarter

  • Create with Rovo - turn scratchpad notes into pages, live docs, or whiteboards with this new tool
  • Jira - Rovo project-management skills have been added to break down work, update items, add context, and keep backlogs organised
  • Rovo Dev - assign tasks to agents for code generation, and soon, third-party agents such as Canva, Box, Devin, Cursor, Databricks, and GitHub
  • Loom - upgrades include streamlined bug reporting from Jira, smart Jira updates from video, live transcripts, and a new desktop app
  • Confluence - keep updated anytime with audio briefings for on-the-go summaries via mobile

It’s now even easier to connect priorities to work, goals, people, and investments with Strategy Collection

  • Rovo - now available inside Strategy to deliver predictive insights, risk detection, smart recommendations, and executive‑ready summaries
  • New Funds view in Focus and Talent - ties labour and non‑labour spend to goals, work, and teams
  • Strategic Events in Focus - allow you to manage mid‑cycle planning changes in one place with full context and history

Enterprise-grade improvements for security, governance, and trust

Atlassian has made 120+ new enterprise advancements, with many more in the pipeline.
Some highlights include role‑based access, splitting organisations into Units each with its own security and control settings, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance, and Atlassian‑hosted LLMs to keep sensitive data in the cloud.
Plus, it was announced that Isolated Cloud will be generally available from early 2026.

Let's explore together

These are just a few examples of the great new innovations announced by Atlassian, and we're looking forward to working together to implement solutions that drive even more value from your tools.
