A roundup of Atlassian's Team '26 Europe keynote announcements and how organisations can make the most of them.
Your teams are already using AI throughout their work, but often in isolation. Atlassian's announcements at Team '26 Europe in Amsterdam are all about changing this to a 'multiplayer way of working'.
The headline launch is AMP (the Agentic Multiplayer Protocol), which makes agents feel like an integrated member of the team, working in the open with a named owner, access to the right context, and clear limits on what they can do. For business leaders, that means AI that can be seen, measured, and governed, while tech leads get agents that fit into the way their teams already plan, build, and ship work.
What Atlassian announced
AMP gives each agent an identity, scoped authority, access to shared context, and results that people can review. This is now live across Atlassian's platforms. Underneath it all sits governance, with every new agent inheriting the protections already in Atlassian Guard, and Atlassian aligning Rovo with the EU AI Act and ISO 42001.
New apps
Atlassian Insights and data context
Structured data from databases and BI tools has also been added as a Teamwork Graph context type, bringing in governed metrics, definitions, and lineage without copying the data. Atlassian Insights builds on it, evolving the Analytics app into a data workspace for querying data in plain language and building living dashboards.
Artifacts
The Artifacts app gives AI-generated assets permanent, permissioned links that embed in Confluence, Jira, or Slack, and feeds them back into the graph so the next person or agent can build on them.
New and rebuilt platform offerings
EU AI inference
LLM processing and app data can now be restricted to EU-hosted models, providing more flexibility for EU organisations.
New capabilities in existing apps
Record for Agent and Rovo Work
Record for Agent lets you brief an agent by recording your screen and voice, turning them into Jira work items, prototypes, or Confluence documents. Rovo Work, now in early access, handles complex, multi-step tasks in Rovo Chat by proposing a plan for you to approve before executing the work.
Agent sessions, PR reviews, and agentic updates
Agent sessions in Jira link local and cloud agent runs back to the relevant work items, so the next person picks up where the agent left off. In Bitbucket, interactive PR reviews let agents record Loom walkthroughs of their code changes so reviewers can understand what changed and why, while agentic updates in Focus roll progress and risks across projects into real-time summaries for leaders.
New connectors
Connectors for Zoom, Gong, Microsoft Entra ID, and Google Identity bring more of your organisation's context into the Teamwork Graph.
Agent accounts and non-human identity inventory
Coming soon, agent accounts and a non-human identity inventory will give every agent, from Atlassian or a third party, an owner, and give admins one place to manage or revoke its access.
Agent Effectiveness and Model Fit Score in Atlassian DX
Agent Effectiveness, now in early access alongside the model fit score, gives engineering and platform leaders a view of how their teams work with coding agents through different types of work, models, and tools, showing where agents get stuck and why.
Rovo, wherever you work
Teams can now use Rovo in more ways, including the Rovo desktop and mobile apps. On desktop, Rovo works alongside your other apps, so you can get answers and take action without switching context. On mobile, you can capture context with photos or voice, or dictate a task, and pick up chats when you are away from your screen.
Service Collection
Incident Command Center, Change Risk Assessment, and Employee Onboarding are now generally available in Service Collection. Change Risk Assessment uses AI to analyse change descriptions, history, linked incidents, and other technical signals, then provides approvers with a risk level, a brief explanation, and suggested mitigation steps.
Strategy Collection
Team Usage and ROI, and AI Capital Management, are now in open beta for Strategy Collection customers, giving a clearer view of your AI token spend.
Teamwork Graph works as an organisation's central nervous system
Atlassian describes the Teamwork Graph as the central nervous system of the organisation. It connects across seven context types: knowledge, work, people, conversations, code, assets, and now data. A closed ticket, a documented decision, or a resolved incident all feed the same graph, and under AMP every agent, whether it runs inside Atlassian or in a tool like Claude or Cursor, draws on that context rather than starting from a blank prompt.
Because AI models are constantly being improved, the graph matters more than any single model. This understanding of how your organisation actually works is what makes Teamwork Graph so powerful.
What does it actually mean for your teams?
Business leaders can see where AI is adding value
Data context and Insights put your own data alongside your goals and work delivery, with every answer showing where the number came from and how current it is. Agentic updates in Focus surface risks and blockers, agent identities show which agents are active and who owns them, and EU AI inference keeps sensitive workloads in Europe. Strategy Collection customers can also try Team Usage and ROI, and AI Capital Management, to get a better understanding of AI token usage.
Tech team leads optimise agents that ship with the team
Agent sessions link work back to tickets, Code Search gives agents an understanding of your codebase, and interactive PR reviews make AI-written changes faster to review. The rebuilt MCP server means teams can keep using the AI tools they prefer, with the right permissions on every request.
Business teams go from answers to finished work
Record for Agent lets teams brief by showing rather than typing, Rovo Work carries multi-step tasks to completion with your team approving along the way, and the Artifacts app stops AI output getting lost in chat history. New connectors for sources such as Zoom and Gong supply additional context, making it easier to get the answers you need.
Platform and IT owners have the tools to govern a team that now includes agents
Agent accounts and inventory assign an owner to every agent; the MCP server separates read, write, and destructive actions; admins control access with domain and IP allowlists; and the existing discovery, classification, and guardrails in Guard Premium already cover Rovo Chat and connected tools.

How Adaptavist helps you get there
Adaptavist helps organisations shift ways of working to get the most value, from understanding where they stand today to running agents safely at scale.
Review and plan your AI next steps
Our AI Readiness Assessment is a health check that provides leadership with a clear baseline of AI readiness, uncovers hidden barriers across data, governance, operations, and people, and outlines next steps. From there, we can help you turn the findings into a prioritised AI roadmap and put Rovo to work on real problems, from proof of concept to scaled rollout.
Access these capabilities on Atlassian Cloud
AMP, Rovo Work, and the Atlassian MCP server capabilities are only available on Atlassian Cloud. The journey from Data Center to cloud provides a chance to rework how teams deliver, optimise your use of Marketplace apps, and configure cloud-native capabilities like Rovo and the Teamwork Graph, rather than carrying old inefficiencies into a new environment. FastShift Complete turns the move into a chance to change how teams work, bringing your apps, integrations, and ScriptRunner scripts across along the way.
Give leaders visibility from investment to delivery
We can help you connect investment decisions, priorities, delivery, and accountable owners in one live view using the Atlassian tools you already have, so leaders can spot strategic drift earlier and act before the next review rather than after it.
Build data your agents depend on
Because agents can only be as reliable as the data underneath them, we help organisations bring critical services, owners, vendors, dependencies, and controls together in Jira Service Management and Assets, giving Rovo and the Teamwork Graph a governed foundation to work from.
Keep AI tooling trackable and your data protected
As agents and AI tools multiply, we can help you keep governance in step with continuous visibility into which tools are in use, including AI and shadow tooling, who owns them, what they cost, and whether they meet compliance requirements, all within Atlassian. And because automation and AI-assisted workflows can make large-scale changes with no easy undo, we can also support you with data backup solutions.
Measure what AI changes for your developers
We help engineering leaders get a clear view of their delivery and developer experience metrics in Atlassian DX, and turn isolated AI pilots into an organisation-wide strategy, so you can see where agents are genuinely improving delivery.
Ready to put your agents to work?
Team '26 Europe shows a shift from AI as a personal productivity tool to AI as a visible, governed member of the team. The organisations that benefit first will be those with their platform, data, and guardrails in place, and a clear plan for turning new capabilities into better ways of working.
Whether you are exploring your first Rovo use cases, planning your move to cloud, or deciding how agents should fit into your teams, our experts can help you work out where to start and what will make the biggest difference.
