Footnotes Installation for Confluence 5 Recommendations

 Footnote not displaying inline

Having inline footnotes cannot be possible with certain versions of Confluence. The Confluence versions that were released prior to Confluence 5.5.6 cannot have the inline feature. This is due to the way Confluence has been designed by Atlassian. Please see below tickets raised with Atlassian :

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-24581
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-22898

Atlassian has provided a fix for this from Confluence 5.5.6 versions onwards. If you wish to have inline footnotes, please migrate to Confluence 5.5.6 or above. Please use a compatible version of Footnotes plugin and you will be able to have inline Footnotes with Confluence 5.5.6 or above versions.

Known Issues:

FOOTNOTES-29 - Footnotes macro doesn't render a page if the "Page Include" Macro in the same page references a page that has an image in it.

We have noticed that if you have a page where both Footnotes and Page Include Macro reside and the Page Include Macro is referencing a page which contains an image then the Page where the Footnotes and Page Include Macro reside is not rendered.

We are currently working on fixing this bug.

We have since fixed this with v.2.1.1 of the plugin

FOOTNOTES-46 - $ sign in Footnotes breaks the page

Display Footnotes macro breaks the page when the Footnotes macro contains a $ sign in Footnotes version 2.3.1. We are currently working on fixing this bug.
