Topic/Forum Permissions

You can define topic sticky or locked permissions at space level. This gives you greater configurability across several different forums in different spaces.

  1. First we need to enable space level override. Navigate to Confluence Administration > General Configuration > Community Forums Configuration. Turn on space level override and click Update.

  2. Go to a space containing a forum.

  3. Using Space Tools (bottom left of the navigation panel), access the Community Forums space tools.

  4. Select the "Permissions" tab.

  5. Set the permission level as required and click Update.

  6. Forums in this space will now use these permissions for sticky and lock topics. Confluence and space administrators automatically have permission to unmark a page as a topic
