My forum just get serious problem after running fine for 2 monthes.
The problem is: now, every new post from "Add Topic" will only displayed as a child page, won't get shown up in forum macro. And the only way to see them is to do a manual index rebuild every time there is any new it just like the forum not working anymore...
I recall what happened to my confluence space during the 2 months, it seems the only thing is that there was some pages moved to some places else...
The plugin we used is the latest 1.5.2 , really appreciate any help here.

Thank you!

The first thing I would check is the log files to see if there is any errors when adding a new topic. Also you should check if indexing is working properly for the rest of your content or if its just related to the forum macro.

Hi Shannon, thanks for your reply.
Could you share some more detail steps about how to verify "the log files" and "indexing is working properly for the rest of your content or if its just related to the forum macro" ?
Because I am really junior user of this plug in here.
      Thank you.

Confluence log files are stored in the confluence home directory by default I think.

You can check that indexing is working by adding some unique text to a page then trying to search for that content. It will take a minute or two for the indexer to run. You can also see the content that's in the queue to be indexed in the same place you trigger the full site reindex in the admin console. The content here should disappear after it has been indexed by Confluence.

Thanks for your patient, we are now checking the internal issue on our server now.
          Thanks again!

Hmm, I'm having the same problem. When I put the forum macro on a page all of the existing children of that page shows, but if I add a new one it will not (there are no errors when adding a new topic).

    1. Try running your indexer manually.

Also check your logs for OOME exceptions (out of memory), if you have these then increase the size of your memory allocation.
