I've used the add-favourite-user macro as exactly described in the usage. It doesn't work. Didn't work with 1.0.1 nor 1.0.2. My exact usage:

{add-favourite-user}%Add% user %to% favourites{add-favourite-user}

Nothing. I am left with %Add% user %to% favourites

Also, assuming this macro works, how can I add this macro to someones profile page?

    Make sure you are viewing the macro link from another user's perspective, you can't add your self as a favourite.

    As an aside in the case where you are viewing the add favourite user macro for yourself I think it shouldn't output anything but am open to suggestions.

    There isn't really any way to add the macro to the user profile itself. There is already an icon to do this on the Confluence people directory however. (It would probably be possible to add a hardcoded web-ui link for this to the plugin for when users don't have a personal space I guess.)

      I agree that it should not output anything, but in my case it isnt hiding the macro body

      – EDIT: Do you have any tips on how I can use the hide-from macro to hide if the user you are adding as a friend is yourself? For instance, I have a sidebar with information such as creator, and want to have a link to add this user as a friend. But I want to hide it if creator is yourself since the macro body isn't suppressed..

        I think it would be better if we just fixed the macro so it didn't display anything in that case.

        I have created a improvement request here: BUBBLES-287. It shouldn't be much work I will try to resolve this issue soon, and either get another release out or provide a snapshot version with the fixes. (smile)

    I have attached a snapshot release to this page adaptavist-plugin-bubbles-1.0.3-SNAPSHOT.jar. It contains the fixes for BUBBLES-286 and BUBBLES-287.

      Much better, thank you for the quick snapshot (smile)
