I m trying to implement Forum at our Confluence Wiki, but im geting this error:

I create a new space, with a "Forum" page, and some topics like "child" pages.

When i see Confluence logs, i get:

The first thing to check is that all plugin modules are enabled, specifically the Activity Score Manager which is what is referenced by the line above that is throwing the null pointer exception.

Was there any errors when you installed the plugin?

    1. Unknown User (gabriel.soltz@uvcms.com)

      The plugin was installed succesfully.
And all the modules are enabled.

is there something else i can look? :s

the macro {forum-summary} works properly, but it shows empty.

      Thanks!

Hello - we are looking to use only the "Forum" functionality of the Adaptavist Community Bubbles Plugin - and disable and remove all other functionality and overhead.

Could you be so kind as to provide a list of which of the 120 plugin modules are necessary for the Forum functionality to work - and the rest could be disabled?

Did you do a full search index rebuild after installing the plugin?

    1. Unknown User (gabriel.soltz@uvcms.com)

      Yes, i do.

Is there any other plugins need to make this one works?
or know conflicts with any other?
I m using theme builder too, with Adaptavist Content Formatting Macros, and page info.

      Thanks

Have you upgraded Confluence recently? Sometimes if a Confluence upgrade is not done right you can end up with old versions of libraries floating around...

      2. Unknown User (skrebs)

You don't need any extra plugins installed for the base functionality of the Bubbles plugin.

It might be worth creating a support issue at http://tracker.adaptavist.com so you can attach log files etc to help us debug this problem.

I didnt upgrade confluence recently. I made a clean install. :s

Could you be so kind as to provide a list of which of the 120 plugin modules are necessary for the Forum functionality to work - and the rest could be disabled? We are looking for the forum-only functionality - without the rest of the memory footprint.

    1. Unknown User (skrebs)

It would depend on exactly which parts of the forum functionality you are planning on using if you include things like locked pages or activity scores etc.

We haven't specifically tested different combinations of enabled modules so I can't guarantee everything will work. But if you look at the list of plugin modules in the bubbles plugin, the stuff related to forums starts about half way down. Most things after Activity Score Manager would be relevant to forums

If you have a support contract with Adaptavist we could spend some time helping you sort out the optimal configuration for you site.
