This is the first public milestone build of the 1.2 version of the Community Bubbles plugin. In this release we are focussing on the forum macro and associated functionality. This milestone build includes new features such as pagination and sticky topics for the forum macro, as well as some other minor bug fixes.
As part of the updates to the forum macro in this release there a slight change to the way the macro works. To allow forum root pages to be identified, when a forum macro is included on a page there is now an option to set the forum property on the page. Setting this property allows the root page to be easily identified and enables features like sticky topics.
Also in this release we have changed the way the forum macro retrieves the pages to be displayed. Previously these pages were retrieved using the Confluence database tables via the relevant manager API calls, in this release the forum macro now uses the index to get the current forum page to display. This should improve performance when there is a large number of topic pages in the forum.
You can view the current documentation for the features under development in the Wiki section. (We haven't quite got the doco updated for the features in this release yet, but it will appear over time.)
If you have any suggested improvements for the forum functionality, or find a bug, please let us know via the Bubbles Support Project (USUP) in the Adaptavist Tracker.
