Save and manage ScriptRunner scripts with the new Script Editor

The latest feature in ScriptRunner for Jira allows you to create, edit, move, save, and delete .groovy script files in Jira root folder from the ScriptRunner front-end.

Script Editor is here!

The latest feature in ScriptRunner for Jira allows you to create, edit, move, save, and delete .groovy script files in Jira root folder from the ScriptRunner front-end.
Script Editor frees you from having to upload your script files on the FTP server or needing to contact a server admin every time you have to update a script. Once you have created and saved your script, you can find and insert it in any ScriptRunner feature that allows scripting from the console sub-menu. Watch it in action:

What else can I do?

Want to share your latest script creation with a colleague? No problem! Simply copy the URL at the top of the page and share it with them. And, if you would prefer to write your script directly inside the Script Editor, you can also use Code Insights.
This feature is also available in the other apps of the ScriptRunner family, ScriptRunner for Confluence and ScriptRunner for Bitbucket. Find out more about Script Editor in our documentation.
