Atlassian Summit 2018 - we came, we saw, we had a blast!

Well, that's a wrap!

Each year we work hard to make our presence at Atlassian's Annual Summit memorable and this year was no different. At our booth, we chatted to more engaged Atlassian users than ever before and shared our latest releases and news. Here's our roundup of what this year's event was all about.

What was hot at Summit 2018

This year there was something for everyone, killer keynotes, community events, breakout sessions, thought-provoking talks - special shout out to our very own Matt Saunders on his session: Psychological Safety in Post Mortems and every developer's idea of heaven, Atlassian Atlas Camp.

Building dream teams, opening up collaboration and breaking down barriers were the key themes running through this year's Summit. And setting the tone for the whole event was Scott Farquar,  Atlassian Co-Founder with his opening keynote where he shared how 'making teams productive is the biggest impact Atlassian can have on the world".  We couldn't agree more!

We had the honour of being mentioned by some of our customers during their talks and these are now available online for you to watch on demand. Definitely check them out!

  • Dominos' Delivery of a Faster Response Was No Standard Order by Michael Sheppard, Domino's | Watch the talk
  • Jira Consolidation and Migration - the Benefits of Hindsight by Roy Chapman, SCM Best Practice Ltd | Watch the talk

Here's what we announced

Atlassian weren't the only ones with new innovations and products to announce. This year we launched Adaptavist Assist, our expert application administration service, ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud and our Data Center ready apps. Our partners at SmartDraw also announced their latest product offering - VisualScript.

Adaptavist Assist

If Atlassian application administration is a pain point for you, we'd like you to introduce you to Adaptavist Assist. It's a new managed service that puts the world's most experienced application admins to work keeping your teams humming and your team members happy.

Adaptavist Assist takes the pain out of application admin and gives you a cost-effective way to establish best-practice admin for your organisation – all with little or no investment in internal resources.

ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud

ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud gives you the power to unlock Confluence's potential. The addition of ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud to our growing ScriptRunner family, gives admins the ability to integrate, automate, and scale Confluence Cloud more than ever before.

So, regardless of where you are in your Confluence journey or your experience level, ScriptRunner is ready to ensure your team's success. Read more about it on our blog.

Ten Data Center apps now available

Demonstrating our continued commitment to enterprise, we have launched not one, but ten Atlassian approved Data Center ready apps. The team have been hard at work getting our apps ready for Data Center using our own apps and a rigorous testing framework. Read more on our blog.

VisualScript: Reporting and visualisation for the Atlassian Stack

We have been working with our partners at SmartDraw to find the best way to automate data visualisation straight from Jira and Confluence. Using ScriptRunner for Jira, you can connect to its REST API to automatically visualise hierarchical data needed by teams responsible for scaled agile, release management, and more. Drinks with a view

We were joined by over 350 customers, industry peers and colleagues at our annual Summit Enterprise Party.  Overlooking the scenic Barcelona seaside, we enjoyed great food and drinks and got the chance to catch up properly and have fun with everyone.

Save the date!

With Summit 2018 behind us, we're already gearing up for Summit US 2019 - Las Vegas on April 10-12, 2019.  Be sure to mark the date in your diary and we will see you there!
