Adaptavist completes another acquisition against a backdrop of explosive global growth

The company doubles Atlassian Marketplace App revenue and reaches 20,000 installs for ScriptRunner for Jira Software and Jira Service Desk.

PRESS RELEASE.  Adaptavist, the Atlassian platinum solution partner and Platinum top app vendor, announces further expansion into Europe with the acquisition of DevOOg, a services and app vendor that develops for Atlassian, based in Seville, Spain. The acquisition will strengthen Adaptavist's enterprise-grade capabilities, increase its global coverage and accelerate further growth.

DevOOg’s apps and development talent demonstrate Adaptavist’s commitment to delivering enterprise-grade software and fostering growth outside the typical tech epicenters.

DevOOg’s apps Encrypted Plugin for Jira and Translate Field Options for Jira perfectly complement Adaptavist’s already extensive DevOps portfolio. With new laws in place to protect user data; namely General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish equivalent; Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal (LOPD), DevOOg's Encrypted Plugin for Jira allows customers to take control of their data through end-to-end encryption inside Jira.

Co-founder of DevOOg, Alberto Exposito says:

“Helping enterprises to control and safeguard their most sensitive data is at the heart of our offering. We're thrilled to be joining forces with Adaptavist to deliver more value to enterprises through world-class innovation."

With over 175 staff and a presence in nine countries, Adaptavist is committed to invest where the best talent is. With this acquisition, the Seville office provides the company with a strong developer hub in the heart of Europe and allows for increased global coverage across engineering, services, and support.

Simon Haighton-Williams, CEO of Adaptavist says,

"Our vision is to lead the way with collaboration across borders, embracing a truly flexible working model across global teams. This expansion will enable closer engagement with our European customers and further open up talent opportunities. This is a big step in fostering the future of work and acquiring the best talent wherever it lies.”

This acquisition is coupled with several company milestones that showcase the explosive growth, specifically for its ScriptRunner brand and cloud app investment.

Within one year, Adaptavist has doubled its Atlassian Marketplace revenue and garnered a 160%+ growth in cloud app revenue. With a robust product and services portfolio that spreads across the entire Atlassian suite.

Today we announce several milestones including:

  • 100% increase in revenue growth year over year
  • 160%+  increase in cloud app revenue year over year
  • Recently named Platinum Top Atlassian App Vendor
  • Recognised in The Sunday Times’ “Best Place to Work” list
