My favourite IM client, Digsby, just got support for LinkedIn...
When I first read about LinkedIn support, I really couldn't work out why anyone would possibly want that - sure, I've got a LinkedIn account but why would I want my IM client to integrate with it?
Well, Digsby once again made me a happy bunny. It adds a "sys tray" icon (near the clock on the Windows "Start" bar) which when clicked displays all recent activity for my LinkedIn network.
When anything happens in my LinkedIn network I get a nice status message popping up to let me know.
And the icon in the sys tray shows me how many unread messages, invites and job applicants I have on LinkedIn.
All in all, it's just made LinkedIn vastly more useful for me.
As well as the LinkedIn support, they've reduced RAM consumption by about 75%, fixed over 3000 (yes, three THOUSAND) bug tickets and made connections to IM networks far more reliable.
