After almost 2 years of battling against the archaic UK financial institutions we have finally been given the go-ahead to take credit card payments online!

This is a big breakthrough for us and our clients - one of the most common gripes about our current sales process is that clients can't pay by credit card (unless they have a PayPal account already set-up and a credit card linked to it) and are therefore forced to go via their purchasing department often adding weeks to the purchase process.

Once again, PayPal has saved the day - their Website Payments Pro service has finally arrived in the UK, backed by HSBC, and it allows full online credit card transactions and even comes equipped with a virtual terminal. For any other companies in our position I would highly recommend checking them out - gone are the days where you need separate montly fees for each currency and prolonged processes.

It will still be a few weeks at least before we're up and running but now the major obstacle (the UK banks) has been overcome it's only a matter of time We will hopefully be gettting a virtual terminal up and running within the next few weeks allowing us to take CC payments over the phone and fax and by the time our new online sales process goes live we'll have the online CC payments fully integrated.

We now have a virtual terminal allowing us to take credit/debit card payments over phone and fax. While it will still be several weeks before we integrate the online card transactions facility in to our website, we can at least provide speedy purchases using the virtual terminal
