I got an iPhone yesterday. It's excellent. It makes all other mobile phones feel like they are steam powered and built in circa 1863.
I got it, connected it to my iMac, synced it and that was it....finito. All of the email accounts were set up immediately, bunch of music and all my contacts. No extensive entering and reentering of passwords and usernames. Apple make stuff that looks gorgeous and it does work so very, very well. Sending and receiving emails and texts is easy as is operation of the phone in general. Even down to thinking about the presentation of the box. The quality of its construction and design made opening it feel like a real event, as though I was actually opening a gift. A gift to myself, just to celebrate buying further into the Apple dream 
. The box feels like it should contain jewelry or an expensive watch (and lets face it, it wasn't cheap). But Apple really do have attention to detail down in terms of presentation.
I then had to visit the App store and purchase (more money!) some games for the lengthy commute from my bedroom to the office downstairs by way of the kitchen. I was keen to try out the motion sensitive aspect of the iPhone and it is pretty cool, it has to be said.
Anyhow, that's my Apple promo done.
It connected to the wireless network after some slight faff, and the whole accessing the internet seems a bit snaily to be honest. Also the typing is a touch fiddly. If you have big puddy fingers you are going to struggle as I have been hitting the wrong keys with my small (and nimble) ladies hands. Other than that though I am really impressed. I understand that there is no MMS and that bluetooth on it is not so great, but I can't imagine that I'll miss 'em.
