This plugin provides a RSS to email notification system that alert Confluence users about new content in a feed that they have chosen to subscribe to. This goes further than the in-built Confluence news watcher functionality, but leveraging the flexibility of the RSS Feed Builder, which enable you to setup feeds with specific criteria such as containing specific labels, being from a specific space etc. The content of the email alert received is the content of the new blog post.
Initially feed notifications are only generated when new blog posts are added, but this could be extended to other forms of content.
Features
- Any user can subscribe/unsubscribe to the space feed notifications
- Users can view a list of all Feed Subscriptions from their user profile
- Feed notifications can be turned on/off in the space administration
- Modified, commented or updated existing posts do not trigger a notification
- Logged in users can subscribe to the space feed notifications
Planned Features:
- Subscription groups - space admins can add users to a list of specific users that should receive the notifications via passive subscription.
