The Anonymous Comments plugin lets logged-in users post anonymous comments on specific pages.
In some organisations, people are aware of major issues but they won't speak up for fear of getting in to trouble or "rocking the boat" (see Wikipedia: Abilene Paradox). Enabling people to be able to comment anonymously means they are more likely to speak their mind, but most Wikis require users to be logged in (for security reasons or to prevent spam) and their name will appear next to everything they say in order to improve the quality of contributions. The Anonymous Comments plugin gets around this by allowing logged-in users post anonymous comments.
Features
- Respects all Confluence permissions
- User name is removed immediately after permission checks
- Does not expose author in search results or notifications
- You can choose which pages allow anonymous comments
- Users can still edit their own anonymous comments
- Integration with our Content Voting and Community Bubbles plugins. You can
create anonymous forums by enabling anonymous comments on the forum page - all topics created in the forum will then be fully anonymous (both the topic and replies to it).
