A new release of the Descendant Notification Plugin is now available. The 0.8 release focuses on fixing a long standing issue where create page notifications won't be sent on some servers. This release also adds support for Confluence 3.0.
As part of the upgrades in this release the minimum Confluence supported version has been updated to 2.10. Please note installing this release of the plugin will replace the default notification manager with a updated version from this plugin. If you wish to uninstall the plugin you will need to restart Confluence after doing so to enable notifications again.
A brief history of the Descendant Notification Plugin
If you have been using this plugin for a while you may notice that this is the first release under the Adaptavist Banner. This plugin was originally created by me (Shannon Krebs) early in 2008 as an entry in the Atlassian Codegiest competition that year. Since then I have joined Adaptavist working full time as a Software Developer mostly on Confluence plugins. I don't get much time these days to work on my own projects so it makes sense to me to move this project under the Adaptavist open source plugins hierarchy to reflect that most of the future updates will be due to the generosity of Adaptavist devoting time to maintain and release new versions of our open source plugins.
A new version (1.6.9) of the Content Formatting Macros plugin for Confluence is now available. This release fixes some bugs that were identified with previous versions.
Fixed in this release
- Span macro notation help points to the correct template so you will no longer get an exception in the logs when viewing the wiki notation help
- Removed duplicate htmlcomment macro definition from the plugin config, this was causing a warning when the plugin was installed.
- Fix typo for the scrolling attribute of the iframe macro.
