Sapphire is our most popular dedicated physical server, providing capacity for up to 6 applications and secure access to the operating system and file system.

Which products are supported?

Our dedicated hosting servers currently provide support for all of Atlassian's products, including Confluence, JIRA and Crowd.

If you need a new product license, you can get a 10% discount (in addition to any bulk license discounts) when purchased for a Dedicated Hosting account.

If you already have a license, let us know and we'll transfer any existing data you have free of charge.

Being a dedicated server, you can install your own applications and services on to the machine if desired, however Adaptavist won't be able to manage them for you.

Suggested Uses

Sapphire is designed for organisations that require a fully managed dedicated hosting solution for several Atlassian products, at low cost but high reliability. It's also ideal for clustering Confluence wikis.

A dedicated server provides secure access to the operating system and file system via SSH, and can optionally be customised to allow VPN access, etc.

Sapphire can host up to 2 Atlassian products, for example:

• Run Confluence, JIRA and Crowd (eg. for LDAP integration via VPN), Bamboo, Clover and Fisheye or
• Run a live, test and QA environments for Confluence and Jira, or
• Run staff-only development applications (Crucible, Clover, Fisheye, Bamboo) and public facing applications (JIRA and Confluence)

A Sapphire server also provides a rapid upgrade path to Topaz and Diamond should you require it.

If you want to run fewer applications or need a cheaper dedicated server, consider Emerald if you don't require RAID.

If you're planning to make extensive use of the applications or need to install large numbers of custom applications, consider a Topaz server.

Encrypted connections with SSL

Adaptavist can provide a free SSL service via yoursite.secure.adaptavist.com domain or you can use your own domain and SSL certificate if preferred. For more information see: SSL Encrypted Connections.

Support

The servers and managed applications are fully supported under our Standard Support service while you host with us. If you need mission-critical support, various support packages are available on request.

Prices

The Sapphire server costs £200 GBP per month, which includes management of one Atlassian application. Additional Atlassian applications can be managed (up to a maximum of 6) for an additional £35 GBP per month.

Discounts are available for paying in advance:

• Quarterly (3 months): 5% discount
• Annual (12 months): 10% discount
