Menubar not displaying in IE

I'm having an issue with Theme Builder in IE. I have a theme I've created that uses a menubar in the menu layout, and while it works great under Safari/Firefox, it's not showing up at all in IE7 or 8 (though I can see it in the source code). Even changing to the default menu gives me the same issue, with the view/edit dropdown menus not showing up (thought again they work fine in Safari/FF). Has anyone run into this issue before, or does anyone have any tips? I'm using Theme Builder 4.2.0.
