I would like to add options to link to such things as Page Information, Mark page as favourite, etc, in the Title, Footnote or Footer panels rather than in the Menu panel.
Can this be done, and if so, how?

Click on the panel the you would like to add your menus to.
The panel will appear in panel preview at the bottom of the screen.
Click on the content button. A popup will appear that will allow you to edit the content for that panel.
You can add stuff like compound-menuitem macro and builder-favicon macro.

ie. For my Title panel I have
h1. {menulink:home}{builder-logo}{menulink} {builder-pagetitle} {builder-show:context=page,blogpost|mode=view} Added by {page-info:created-user}, last edited by {page-info:modified-user} on {page-info:modified-date} {compound-menuitem:information|icon=document_info|imginside=true|flat=true|tooltip=%Page% information & versions} {builder-labels}{builder-show}
