Headings

Headings

Headings are used to split your content in to managable chunks to make it easier for the reader to digest information. This tutorial shows you how to add headings...

Overview

As well as splitting up large amounts of text, headings can also be used to generate tables of contents and navigation links. To add headings, simply prefix your heading title with the appropriate heading marker:

h1. Page Heading
h2. Section Heading
h3. Subsection Heading
h4. Topic Heading
h5. Subtopic Heading

As you can see, the headings get smaller with descending importance and the colours change occasionally to aesthetically enhance pages.

Hints and Tips

If you have a large document, break it up in to bite-sized chunks so it's easier to read.

Example

Use heading colour and size to differentiate the different heading levels.
