Step 1 - Editing the Page

This avoids Step 2 below so proceed directly to Step 3.
Step 2 - Deleting the Page
You will be presented with a screen that looks something like this:

To delete the page, click the
icon in the top-right after which you'll see the confirmation warning in Step 3 below...
Step 3 - Save the Page
After choosing to delete the page, you'll be given a warning that looks like this:

It's important that you read this warning because it will tell you if any other pages are linking to this page. If there are other pages linking to the page that's being deleted, you can click the link to list them — should you delete the page, links shown on those other pages will appear broken.
If you are sure you want to delete the page, click the OK button, otherwise click the Cancel button to abort the action.
Hints and Tips
When a page is deleted, it is moved to the Trash Can so it's still possible to restore it. In order to have the page restored, you'll need to contact a Space Administrator or Site Administrator who has access to the Trash Can.
Frequently Asked Questions
| Q | Why don't I get warned about other links to the page that's being deleted? |
|---|---|
| A | There are many types of links such as attachments, links within Macros and links from external websites, which could all require the page you are deleting. Confluence is only able to identify some of the links when you delete a page so there is always the possibility that some links will be missed. As such, the page should always be left in the Trash Can for a while in case the page needs restoring. |
