The London user group is upon us again!
The event is primarily focussed on Confluence and will start with a quick overview of the great new features in the latest release - Confluence 3.2. There will then be a quick Q & A session before we split in to business and technical tracks.
Last year's user group was a great success with over 70 attendees from around the UK. Adaptavist and Headshift have teamed up to make sure this year's event is an even bigger success!
What you can learn from others about Confluence
This event is focussed not on sales, but on you - the Confluence user. By sharing ideas with other users you'll gain invaluable information on adoption strategies and deployment within your organisation. For example:
- Where does Confluence sit within an organisation alongside SharePoint?
- The content life cycle in a wiki: important or redundant?
- 'We built it but they won't come' - How to spur adoption and facilitate communities in Confluence
- Searching vs. Finding: Thoughts on how to make sure people find your content
We're also delighted to have Steve Perry who will be sharing his experiences, good and bad, of deploying Confluence within Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
In the technical track there will be a technical update on the changes in Confluence 3.2 and how they affect your plugins and customisations, followed by several "Birds of a Feather" sessions where you can learn how other organisations have overcome their deployment and other technical issues. As usual, there will be a free "System Surgery" from Adaptavist CTO, Dan Hardiker - if you've been to previous Atlassian User Groups in London or Germany, you'll no doubt be familiar with this!
Venue
The event will be on Wednesday 28th April 2010 at the Royal Horticultural Halls & Conference Centre, 80 Vincent Square, London, SW1P 2PE. The nearest tube stations are Victoria, St. James's Park and Pimlico. Like last year the event will be free of charge, and we hope that attendees find it just as valuable in terms of meeting other Confluence users.
