1st UserConference 18th June 2009 Düsseldorf, Germany
Last Changed by Emma Rush, Jun 14, 2009 21:22

Adaptavist will be attending the Atlassian User Conference in Germany. The two Adaptavist E's, Emma and Edward will be jet setting all the way from Manchester to sunny Düsseldorf to experience the first UserConference 2009 at the Lindner Congress Hotel, Düsseldorf on June 18th 2009.

I'll be presenting a short session from 11:15am until 11:45am on [Theme Builder] and [Community Bubbles]. These are our two main commercial plugins, which are commercial no more as we are now giving them away for free. [Theme Builder] can be used to theme or redesign your confluence wiki, while [Community Bubbles] can encourage participation and extend the 'social' aspects of your wiki in particular through the use of forums.

We'll also be available during discussion times if you need any further information on how you can use our plugins or development , [hosting] or training services to enhance and extend your Confluence wiki.

I'll be on hand for any specific questions or queries relating to [Theme Builder] and [Community Bubbles] that you might have.

If you are going to attend, please come and say hello. If you have any questions about using our plugins, we'd be more than happy to help you out.

Reboot11 - Adaptavist Get Active
Last Changed by Keith Brophy, Jun 18, 2009 09:31
Labels: conference, reboot11

it's time to act, time to focus on the act of acting, time to figure out where to begin the reboot. reboot11 is all about action.

Held in Copenhagen, Denmark, Reboot is an informal, annual gathering of diverse people, focused on digital change and culture. Along with the other practical visionaries, Adaptavist will be in Copenhagen next week for Reboot11 to get involved in this years theme of 'Action'.

The meet up is a 2 day event that brings together all types of people looking to push things forward:

Programmers, designers, innovators, entrepreneurs, thinkers, bloggers, and activists. People who are working every day to maximize their ability to make a difference. The people who live according to Alan Kay's famous quote "The best way to predict the future is to invent it".

Reboot is quite different from other types of conference. Over the years, the event has grown in stature, but kept an informal, intimate feel - promoting discussions and connections beyond the scheduled talks. The talks vary greatly on the topics covered, but are all interlinked by the central theme of the conference. In a most democratic way, talks are suggested online where attendees can vote on which ones they would like to see.

In previous years, Reboot has focused on the exploration of 'free', 'human' and 'renaissance', in all forms. This year, the conference is taking this insight and looking at how we can act on those ideas.

We are looking to report on this years event and provide an insight into the actions that emerge.

Let us know if you are going - feel free to say 'Hello!'.
