Regular visitors will have already noticed that our website design has just undergone a radical change. If you're not a regular visitor, then take a look at the old design and you'll see just how much it's changed.
We'd spent a few weeks working behind the scenes on this new theme and had originally planned to complete all aspects of it before publishing it to our site. However, we realised that even in its current state it offers a big improvement over the old design so we've gone all agile and uploaded it ahead of schedule. We'll be performing numerous iterative improvements over the coming weeks to fix minor glitches and make the theme look more polished on older browsers such as Internet Explorer.
The design was implemented using our Theme Builder and Community Bubbles plugins which enabled us to customise virtually every aspect of the wiki. We've also used the open source Metadata v2 plugin, written by Andy Armstrong and Kelsey Grant, which enables us to "nest" spaces.
If you notice any glitches, please let us know!
To celebrate the new design, all content on the site (with the exception of logos) is now released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 license so you can copy it to your own sites or wikis, even if they are commercial.
On a closing note, we know we've not been outputting much news recently - in fact the last time we posted news in this space was way back in August 2007, and that was a post about the fact that we'd not posted any news since March 2007! We've been really busy behind the scenes - the company has tripled in size in the past 18 months and we'll be making some major announcements in the coming months so stay tuned!
The site now features multiple blogs for products, services and even a few staff blogs so keep an eye out for the "Blog" tab in spaces you visit. If you want an Atom or RSS feed of all news on the site, click that handy "Feeds" icon in the menu bar above.
