Confluence 2.3 - Plugin Compatibility

Jan 09, 2007 16:53

Well, Confluence 2.3 is released and we've been busy testing various plugins for compatibility.

Most plugins will work fine, however there have been several changes to the API's (Application Programmer Interfaces) used in Confluence due to the new clustering functionality that's been added to the product.

At present, the Builder plugin won't work on Confluence 2.3 but we're hoping to have a patch released in the next few days to solve that. The patch will provide the current Builder functionality on Confluence 2.3 but won't initially support clustering.

Builder 2.1 is under development which, as well as adding some awesome new features (eg. ability to apply themes to multiple spaces and some awesome performance improvements), is expected to support clustering in Confluence (the theme configurations will need to be stored in the database rather than on disk).

Stay tuned to our newsroom for further updates.
