Adaptavist announce Label Tools Plugin

Have you ever wanted to automatically add labels to template-based pages? Now you can...

This small plugin currently contains a single macro – {add-label} – which when included in a template (including Scaffold Templates) will automatically assign labels to all pages created with that template.

Addaptavist wins Codegeist

Adaptavist.com has won first prize in Atlassian's Codegeist Contest for our Confluence Plugin Repository...

Atlassian Codegeist: First Prize!

The Atlassian Team wrote:

The Confluence Repository Plugin deserves top honors for three reasons. First, it's a substanial peice of work, tackling a complex problem and solving it thoroughly. Second, it was well written, well designed and well documented. And third, Dan's work on the plugin will ultimately benefit every plugin author in the community by helping their plugins to be more widely known and more easily used.

As soon as the news was formally announced, our site was hammered by so many visitors that it crashed!

As well as bagging the first prize of $5,000 USD we've also won a bundle of software that's going to help a great deal with our future plugin development tasks.

Builder and Confluence 2.2

Initial testing shows some issues with the Builder theme when used with Confluence 2.2...

Atlassian recently provided a developer release of Confluence 2.2 and we've been busy checking our plugins, in particular our Builder theme.

We've found that the theme works as expected on normal spaces, however there are some issues with user spaces. Confluence 2.2 gives each user their own personal space within the user profile and the theme can be selected for that space.

Until further notice, we reccommend that users do NOT select the Builder theme in their user space as they will loose the navigation controls to edit their profile, etc.

Resolving this issue will be a fairly straightforward task, but we just wanted to forwarn you in case Atlassian publically release Confluence 2.2 before we get the next version of Builder out

Stay tuned to our newsroom as we'll be making further announcements soon.

Sneak Preview of New Calendar Plugin

A new version of the Calendar plugin is about to be released and Adaptavist have been given a sneak preview...

David Peterson has been applying some serious polish to the calendar plugin - to see the results, click the thumbnail below:

As you can see, the display is much cleaner and now works properly in Internet Explorer.

Different calendars can be assigned different colours making it far easier to see which events relate to which calendars. In addition, "all day" events and "set time" events are now clearly distinguished by the background colours.

Navigation is also improved, with drop-down lists allowing you to quickly jump to a specific month or year, etc.

The plugin should be released within the next few days so stay tuned
