Adaptavist Announce Content Formatting Macros v1.4
We're pleased to announce a new version of our Content Formatting Macros...
Version 1.4 is primarily a maintenance release (bug fixes, etc), however we did manage to add a new and rather useful macro...
The new align macro allows you to align content in the following ways:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aliquam fermentum vestibulum est. Cras rhoncus. Donec volutpat eleifend augue. Integer gravida sodales leo. Nunc vehicula neque ac erat. Vivamus non nisl. Fusce ac magna. Suspendisse euismod libero eget mauris.
A simple macro, yet it makes content layout far easier ![]()
Adaptavist Announce Updates to Page Tree Macro
(actually, it was several days ago, but we've not had time to post)
Adaptavist have recently updated the Open Source pagetree macro to add some new features...
If you've not seen the macro before, this is what it looks like:

It creates a dynamic site map anywhere in your content. Originally designed by Atlassian for use in Confluence's site map, William Jones & Zohar Melamed created a plugin version that could be added to any page to provide an interactive navigation tool.
Adaptavist have taken the work done to date and added the following new features and enhancements:
- Allow pages to be sorted by title, creation and modified date
- Allow excerpts to be displayed against page titles
- Removed ugly white border from items so that the tree now looks nicer on non-white backgrounds.
- Enabled multiple page trees to be used on the same page (eg. to show different sections of a website)

New Delivery Mechanism for Builder Theme
Based on client feedback, we no longer deliver the theme by email - clients are now issued with a username and password for a secure download area where they can access all the latest versions of the Builder theme including any updates as and when they become available.
Any existing clients using the Builder theme should contact us for login details if they require an updated version of the theme.
We have also integrated the Builder theme plugin in to the new Confluence Plugin Repository which we've been developing for some time. Once complete, you'll be able to install and upgrade any Confluence plugin from a user-friendly interface within the Confluence "Administration Console":

Plugin authors interested in having their plugins included in the repository should Contact Us (you will also see pages appearing in CONFEXT with further details).
Atlassian are planning to make a "Developer Release" of Confluecne 2.2 available so that the Builder theme and other plugins can be tested prior to it's official release making the transition from Confluence 2.1.x to 2.2 as painless as possible.

Adaptavist announce Sudoku Game Plugin
(or to be more precise, "Adaptavist finally get round to announcing it on their own website") ![]()
Our Sudoku plugin enables you to add interactive and printable Sudoku boards to your content, along with high scores...
The name "Sudoku" is the Japanese abbreviation of a longer phrase meaning the "digits must remain single"; it is a trademark of puzzle publisher Nikoli Co. Ltd in Japan. Other Japanese publishers refer to the puzzle as "Nanpure" (Number Place), which was its original title.
The basic premise of Sudoku is that you need to fill a tile with numbers as shown below:

In the main grid, you can only use each number once per row and column. In each of the 9 smaller grids you can only use each number once. Depending on the difficulty level you choose, there will be a varying number of tiles already filled in with numbers (as shown with darker backgrounds). Your challenge is to fill in the remaining tiles without breaking the rules.

Adaptavist announce Confluence Plugin Repository
We are delighted to announce our latest open source initiative – the Confluence Plugin Repository...
The Plugin Repository and its associated Confluence Repository Client interface aim to remove most of the hassle and human error from daily plugin management. You can now browse through the available plugins and install, uninstall, upgrade or downgrade with just a single click. The sortable, searchable and filterable interface allows you to find the information you want quickly and without fuss. It's very easy to see what's installed, what's not and what's been updated – all in one place. Best of all, the information is automatically filtered to the version of Confluence you are running – if a plugin version is known not to work on your Confluence version, then it's not displayed.

The configuration is quick and painless, allowing you to even specify your own repository data location should you wish to build your own in-house repository of vetted plugins. You can also filter the incoming plugin data based on it's compatibility and stability.
Please treat this as a BETA plugin – even though it's one of the most heavily tested plugins we've released, we would be surprised if the system (like any other major addition) didn't undergo some teething problems. We are keen for feedback and suggestions from plugin users and developers alike. It will take some time for all plugins to be listed and fully checked against all versions of Confluence, your help and feedback with this is gladly accepted.

New Bulk Licenses for Builder Theme
We've had a few requests from larger organisations who wish to purchase Builder for multiple Confluence installations... Now you can!
Standard License
The normal Builder license is now known as the Standard license and allows Builder to be installed on one Confluence installation.
Roaming License
The Roaming license is designed for organisations that have a single central Confluence installation and multiple personal installations - eg. sales staff with Confluence installed on their laptops. This license allows installation of the theme on to your central installation and all the personal "roaming" installations within your organisation.

The Enterprise license is designed for large organisations who have multiple central Confluence installations (eg. for specific departments or offices).
