200 downloads and counting of our Confluence forums plugin

Since the launch of Community Forums in May, we've been delighted by how popular it is proving to be. Our plugin allows you create Confluence forums and it has had over 200 downloads and received a raft of new feature requests that we'll be working into the product roadmap over the coming months.

Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to feedback through various online channels. The discussion the plugin has generated has taken us a little by surprise but all the feedback is useful and will help make the product better meet your needs.

We've also been pleased that the ecosystem has been supportive of our move to make Community Forums compatible with Confluence 5 and a fully-supported, commercial product with a development roadmap. In the last 6 weeks we have already released a new version of Community Forums (compatible with Confluence 5.1.3) and are scheduling some new functionality, based on your feedback, for a summer release.

The next release of Community Forums will include two key new features:

  • Alternative Confluence forums styles selectable from the administration pages
  • The ability to create new Confluence forums with topics via the Create button

If you have any features that you would love to see us add, please let us know by commenting on this post, emailing us or making a post on Atlassian Answers and we'll do our best to add it to the roadmap.
